Verdict
Long Weekend, Parallel Lines, Bali-Star and Sotonian are the four to concentrate on in the finale and the vote is given to Bali-Star. The selection ran really well when narrowly beaten by Ivory Venture on this track and over this trip last time. He is well drawn here and with Chris Catlin taking over in the plate he looks the one to beat. Long Weekend was a game winner last time on this track when defeating Shirley Oaks, but he was all out to hold on and looks vulnerable under his penalty. Sotonian was well down the field that day and although he is now weighted to get closer to Long Weekend he is not one to place a great deal of trust in even though he looks to have decent place prospects. Parallel Lines is the other to consider as he ran encouragingly on this track last time, he is dropped in trip and is from a shrewd yard so should be noted for a market move, but for the winner we return to Bali-Star.
