In depth

Verdict

Sir Hector is penalised for winning at Lingfield last month when Hornby finished third. The latter re-opposes on better terms with an apprentice’s claim in his favour. Gabrial The Devil went close in a handicap at Newcastle back in October but GRANDFATHER TOM is less exposed and after posting an improved effort at Wolverhampton last time, Bob Cowell’s colt should make a bold bid in this. The remainder look up against it unless one of the newcomers proves above average.
