In depth

Verdict

Gaelic Silver, a previous course and distance winner, won a seller at Windsor last year and has twice only found one too good here over the winter. Gary Moore’s veteran is entitled to respect today but VIEWPOINT may have his measure. Mike Appleby’s raider is rated 8lb higher and he, too, has won over this track and trip. He won a claimer at Wolverhampton by six lengths a year ago when last seen in this grade. Anton Chigurh is the only other with any chance at the weights but is giving the others 4lb and upwards and is best at Southwell.
