Verdict
Spinning Coin is put up as a speculative choice against Papeete and Premier Hope. The selection was rated in the mid-70's on the level and ran out a decisive winner at Exeter over hurdles. Her jumping was a little errant on occasions but her class carried her through and having previously shown some aptitude for this surface, we are prepared to play at the likely odds. Papeete had a recent run on the level so can be expected to be relatively straight. She had put up a fair effort behind Strawberry at Lingfield in April but consistency has never been her strong suit. Premier Hope enters the question mark category. She won readily at Exeter on her handicap debut over hurdles on fast ground and the handicapper has reacted to the tune of 13lbs. Having shown relatively little on similar surfaces in the past, the market could prove the best guide. Festive Chimes has ability although it is a long time since she has run up to her best. Gaelic Gift drops markedly in trip while Ballyhoo appears exposed these days. Symbiosis has had less racing than most but has tended to hang badly when under pressure in the past. Spinning Coin should be a fair price and can give us a good run for our money.
