Verdict
A wide open handicap chase here and there is very little between many of the rivals but the principles look to be Brave Spirit, Never Awol and Major Adams and the vote goes to Brave Spirit. The selection won well last time out when defeating Wild Spice and although he has a penalty for that win he came home with plenty in hand and under similar conditions here he will be hard to beat. Never Awol rates the main danger as he won well last time when defeating Follow The Flow and that form has since been franked, so he will not be far away but his best form is on ground no worse than good and for that reason he is passed over. Major Adams is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he looks to have enough weight for what he has done on the track. Presentingthecase represents top connections and was a fair third behind Laburnum last time and he is sure to strip fitter here, so he is worth noting in the market. Of the remainder, Taksina has dropped to a fair mark and is another with place claims but in a race that throws up more questions than answers, for the winner we return to Brave Spirit.
