An interesting maiden where a chance is taken with Rosecliff, who is preferred over White Bear and Scutch Mill out of those with experience. Whereas Art Modern is an interesting newcomer that has an eye-catching pedigree and should appreciate the surface. However, it is worrying that he has already been gelded and he will be sporting headgear for his first appearance in public. The market will tell us more where he is concerned. Scutch Mill was strongly supported last time and has obviously been impressing his connections at home. He too is worth noting in the market. As is White Bear, whose yard are very adept at placing younger horses and he is one to look at with an eye to the future. He has plenty of stamina in his pedigree and, with his debut run behind him, he could be a different proposition today. However, Rosecliff makes far more appeal at this stage of their development and, with Jamie Spencer wearing the colours of Michael Tabor, plenty of eyes will be scutinising the selection today.
