In depth

Verdict

Keith Dalgleish sends newcomer Queen Of The Scots all the way down from Lanarkshire and the booking of Silvestre De Sousa suggests connections mean business, so a market check is essential for the Royal Applause filly. Check out the other newcomer too, Miss Jonh, from a yard that's made a confident start to the campaign, whilst River Spirit was withdrawn from her intended engagement on Saturday evening after showing promise on her Bath debut for the Channon team which had a good juvenile winner at Ascot on Saturday. HOWLIN' FOR YOU sets a decent standard though after showing strong early pace before staying on into third place on her Kempton debut and rates the selection with the promising Cam Hardie claiming a valuable 7lb.
