Verdict

Snow Squaw edges a tight contest at the weights but attempts 5f for the first time after a couple of poor efforts over 7f and a mile. Bithynia has been placed over 6f on her last four starts but SPEED FREAK was beaten less than a length over today’s distance at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day. Ralph Beckett’s filly should be in the mix once again on that form and is preferred to recent Southwell runner-up Heavenly Cry. Monteamiata is one of the least exposed but is another dropping down to 5f for the first time.
