Verdict

Enzo D'Airy was a disappointing favourite on heavy going at Uttoxeter so has a bit to prove now. Mickey Buckman is having a first run in a maiden having shown ability in novice company. He would have claims on a recent fourth in a handicap at Sandown but A PERFECT GIFT may have more scope. He made mistakes on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter but will have had plenty of schooling since. Richard Johnson keeps faith with Olly Murphy’s winning bumper, who has undergone wind surgery recently.
