Verdict
Epsom Salts has a 6lb rise in the weights to defy for his narrow success at Kempton last month and he may have to settle for minor honours behind ALONSO DE GUZMAN, who is taken to gain a deserved success with Mr Napoleon rated the pick of the remainder. The selection has been in good form of late, comfortably winning at Haydock prior to decent efforts in defeat at the same venue and at Great Leighs. Another 3lb rise for that latest effort is perfectly fair and Jim Boyle's gelding is taken to resume winning ways. Mixing has disappointed in his last two starts but has claims on the form shown when successful at Kempton the time before. Dubai Ace was good value for his win here in February but has not reproduced that form in five starts since then on the flat or over hurdles and fences. Gary Moore's Mr Napoleon has been in good form of late and has every chance if staying this far but preference is for Alonso de Guzman.
