Verdict

CLOUDY CITY is taken to account for Yonder and Ambrose Princess. A step up in trip for the Giant's Causeway gelding seemed to make plenty of difference to the fortunes of the Mark Johnston charge and he was guilty only of finding a well handicapped horse too good at Catterick. With the trainer's handicappers carrying all before them at present; there is an obvious chance for compensation today. Yonder is often well supported though seldom wins. She found 1m5f at Hamilton on the sharp side last time out so there are at least some mitigating circumstances for her most recent flop. Ambrose Princess ran a reasonable third to Markington at Pontefract over 2m2f. She has won over three miles over hurdles and seems to have become much more consistent for the application of cheekpieces. Free Falling is some way out of the handicap and 5lb claimer, Declan Cannon attempts to offset some of the weight. Swordsman has won over 1m7f at Folkestone and appears to appreciate fast ground. Cloudy City appears the most progressive of the quintet and should gain due reward.
