        Verdict

        Mister Clinton just edges the decision her over Mescalera, with Ravel also expected to be in the shake up. Dean Ivory's eight-year-old is still a force to be reckoned with having put in some solid efforts recently. His latest effort behind Tuscan Treaty makes good reading in the context of this event and another bold run is expected. The ex-German runner Mescalera has shown enough in two races on these shores to suggest she will be winning soon, although today she may have to settle for a place. Ravel wasn't beaten too far behind Tipsy Lad at Wolverhampton last time and could be on the way back to his best. If so a placing could be on the cards. The best of the rest could be Taylor Maid, but Mister Clinton only has to run up to his last effort to take the honours today.
