In depth

Verdict

SAMTU's best effort so far came over this trip on fast ground at Bath in September. You can ignore a subsequent run at Newmarket, where he was clearly out of his depth, and this looks a decent opportunity for Clive Brittain's charge to open his account. Southwell runner-up Lady Knight was beaten out of sight over 1m1f at Wolverhampton on Monday and stablemate Sweet Alibi hasn't shown much since joining the yard including when fading over a mile here on the same day. Jazzy Lady may be in the handicapper's grip now but Izbushka could do better in a visor and is preferred to Cascadia, who is stepping up in distance.
