        Verdict

        Custodian has any amount of improvement to come and gets the verdict ahead of Star Magnitude and Zalkani. Henry Cecil's rare venture into the all-weather sphere was rewarded when Custodian landed a modest Wolverhampton maiden earlier this month. The handicapper has taken no chances but with more progress very likely and the booking of Jamie Spencer, he looks the one to be on. Star Magnitude returned to winning ways last week, when beating previous winner Glad Big. A penalty shouldn't stop this one getting involved in the finish. Zalkani was also successful last time, beating Red Birr last Saturday over course and distance. A quick return to the track suggests another big run can be expected. The pick of the remainder could be Devil's Island, but Custodian is expected to make it back to back victories.
