        Verdict

        DARK PROMISE makes plenty of appeal. Backed to land the odds over C&D last time, she duly obliged under a terrific ride from Jimmy Fortune and the way she idled in front once clear suggests there is more in the tank. Michael Jarvis's filly rates the selection ahead of Dubai Crest, who bounced back to form when a close-up second at Kempton a week ago finishing ahead of The Which Doctor and Stand Guard. Farleigh House and Bedouin Bay may need a longer trip to show their best and though King's Colour has done all his winning so far over shorter distances, he cannot be easily dismissed.
