Verdict
Risk Free gets a narrow vote over Long Weekend in the opener, with Balygriffin Kid and Edin Burgher seen as the main dangers. Although Risk Free's best recent efforts have been at Wolverhampton, the David Evans inmate has been successful at Lingfield in the past and should go close from his good draw in stall three. There is no doubt that he was unlucky at Wolverhampton 12 days ago when stopped in his tracks as he was making significant headway from the rear. In the end he was beaten just over a length by Sorbiesharry and lines up as practically a winner without a penalty. Strictly at the weights he has nothing in hand of Ballygriffin Kid who was back in fourth at Dunstal Park, but with a clear run here that should not be too big a factor. Long Weekend is another that gets behind early on and he will appreciate the step up in trip to a mile, but he is none too consistent, while Edin Burgher in contrast will be having only his fourth career outing and has already opened his account here in maiden company back in December. He has the scope to improve further and should be followed, but on this occasion should find Risk Free too strong.
