The return to 7f won’t be a problem for Spare Parts as he bids for a four-timer but a double penalty could be as today’s apprentice cannot claim his allowance. Neither can Jack Osborn, but SOARING SPIRITS won off a 9lb higher mark last year and having missed out by only a nose over track and trip last time, Dean Ivory’s charge gets the vote. Rising Sunshine and Ettie Hart have something to find with Spare Parts though both re-oppose on better terms while Sonnet Rose is 8lb higher than last month’s maiden success at Southwell.
