In depth

Verdict

BAYDAR was making ground hand over first in the closing stages of his debut at Haydock last month having missed the break. That was a very satisfactory effort and he should go one better here if handling the switch to Polytrack. Samaawy looks the danger as he led until inside the final furlong when well backed over 7f at Leicester and may appreciate this sharper track. Kalkrand made late headway at Doncaster and will know more today while The Queen's Makfi colt Final Choice and Luca Cumani's Royal Mahogany are worth a market check, though both may do better next year over middle distances.
