Verdict

Ace Of Spies sets the standard and should get off the mark unless one of Precision Break, Vettorenjoy or Too Risky proves to be above average. The Mark Johnston trained colt ran a respectable race on debut over course and distance before showing improved form to finish third at Wolverhampton. He finished in front of a horse rated 79 on that occasion and a reproduction of that performance here should be good enough. Precision Break has an interesting American pedigree and hails from a yard whose horses are running well at present. He appeals as the likelier danger although Marco Botti and Peter Chapple-Hyam are perfectly capable of sending out newcomers to score and marked support for either of their charges should be noted. Most of the remainder should be seen to better effect once handicapping and Ace Of Spies should hit the target.
