Verdict

An open contest given Protected Guest reversed earlier running with Celtic Art when scoring over track and trip a week ago and the latter had earlier beaten Pirate King and Restorer here. The latter will be sharper for that run representing last year’s winning yard but BUGLE MAJOR (NAP) should also have come on for a recent outing at Kempton. Narrowly beaten by a subsequent Listed winner when last seen over course and distance in September, Richard Hughes’ grey gets the vote on that form. Desert Emperor and Morlaix face tougher tasks upped in class.
