Verdict

CRIMSON KING is in the form of his life having coped with the step up in class a week ago and completing a course double by three lengths. Mick Appleby’s charge looks worth sticking with given Great Esteem has returned a beaten favourite at Newcastle the last twice, though found only one too good last time. Renardeau has been in the mix here recently but ran on Wednesday, though makes more appeal than Toro Dorado and The Trader, who both step back up in distance with the latter now back on a winning mark.
