Verdict
A competitive sprint where it may pay to concentrate on WRENINGHAM and Edith's Boy ahead of Thoughtsofstardom. The latter is a remarkable campaigner and enjoys being kept busy so his scheduled outing at Leicester on Thursday evening by no means precludes him from winning this but another penalty would certainly make life harder. Elusive Ronnie is capable at best but he seems to have completely lost his way although he is well weighted as a result. Edith's Boy was well held last time but he goes particularly well here and has slipped back to the mark from which he was successful over course and distance in November; he may just have needed his run earlier in the month and could be poised to strike. However, marginal preference is for Wreningham who has been running really well this summer since being given a chance by the handicapper and he's taken to end a frustrating sequence of near misses.
