Verdict
Cafetiere ran no sort of race on his seasonal reappearance and he is swiftly dropped into plating company with the hood that accompanied him in victory at Windsor hastily refitted. With El Duque having questions to answer after a moderate effort at Beverley, a chance is taken about EMERALD BREEZE. The filly showed little for Charlie Hills but a switch to Tim Pitt has seen marked improvement and with three victories in handicaps at Wolverhampton, her profile is at least progressive. Black Vale won in spite of racing exuberantly in a recent claimer over a mile and on that evidence, this drop back in trip is of little concern. Intense Feeling would have a little to find on official figures but she won back-to-back races for David Evans last month and cannot be ruled out on a return to this grade.
