      Verdict

This may turn out to be an above-average fillies’ novice event. Ligera was an eye-catcher under tender handling at Newmarket two weeks ago and is a certain improver, though had only a neck to spare over the well-bred Winter Halo, who will also know more today. Millicent was a fair fourth over track and trip on debut in the spring but we’ll take a chance on the fitness of BYZANTIA. It’s more than a year since she made her debut at Haydock but she had no luck at all that day and wasn’t beaten far. Khayyaal is closely related to the brilliant Magician and cost $500,000 so any market support would be significant and Sacred Belief should also win races.
