In depth

Verdict

Mailshot was sent off favourite in this grade at Newcastle last time but disappointed. He’s still preferred to Elementary, who won a lowly Class 6 contest here last time while Espresso Freddo has only won a maiden race so far. Luke Morris was on board the latter last time but partners INDIAN DANDY today. Marco Botti’s charge made a winning start when scoring over course and distance on his debut and should give Mailshot a race with normal progress. Bee Case was due to run at Wolverhampton yesterday.
