Verdict
Although Zalkani has been successful over the course and distance in the past, the feeling is that this drop back in trip will be to his benefit, and he should make a bold bid to go one better than when second to Cordial here a fortnight ago. Held up last that day, he was going like a winner some way out but encountered all sorts of traffic problems, and was three lengths adrift at the finish. His turn of foot may prove decisive and he should see off the challenge of Danelor. The latter pays his first visit to Lingfield after scoring at Southwell last time, and may just find conditions too fast. Dower House drops back in distance after his recent Wolverhampton success but remains fairly handicapped these days, while Karaoke is slightly better off with the selection but still looks held. On a line through Cordial, Kew Green has a tremendous chance, but the topweight might just need another run and is reluctantly passed over. For the winner we shall stick with Zalkani.
