      Verdict

      In another really competitive race SOUTHANDWEST is the selection but only just ahead of Capricorn Run and Majuro. The five-year-old selection was runner up to a useful looking type last time and beat Capricorn Run in the process, overturning form from their previous meeting. The run served as proof that this mark is within his scope and the race has produced two runners who have since stepped up to win at this level. Capricorn Run then has the same strong form in his favour but has that little bit to overturn on the selection. He's running well as proved by his victory in a similar race two starts ago but he hasn't won off a mark this high for over a year. Majuro has been knocking on the door in this type of race in the last few starts with only one race franking the form. The last time out defeat to Titan Triumph should prove pretty strong and a repeat performance will have him in the mix again but Southandwest should have his and the others measure.
