    Verdict

Scuba can make the most of the weight that he receives from Western Roots, with Nan Jan the other leading player. Although yet to open his account this term, Scuba was successful last year four times in all off higher marks, and there was a great deal of encouragement to be gleaned from his latest effort at Southwell. A staying on third that day, he is worth this first attempt at a mile, and can come good under regular pilot Travis Block who can take 5lb off his back. Western Roots will have his supporters after his back-to-form win at Wolverhampton. That was over further though, and he will do well to defy a 6lb penalty. In fact, he will do well to maintain that form over Nan Jan who can be fancied to turn the tables on 5lb better terms for about two-and-a-half lengths. The market should be noted as regards the rest, and our vote goes to Scuba.
