Verdict
Zelos, Shotfire Ridge and High Class Problem are all shortlisted in this claimer and the narrow nomination is given to Zelos. This 3-year-old from the Jamie Osbourne yard ran a fair race in a handicap here last time and his overall form reads well in the context of this race. He is not the easiest of rides but he has a strong pilot on board here in Jim Crowley and he can finally get his head in front. Shotfire Ridge showed plenty of ability on his debut when he won with a bit in hand at Nottingham last year but he was slightly disappointing on his seasonal reapperance at Newmarket, albeit in a much stronger race than this. He may have needed the run that day after an absence and he is certainly worth a look in the market today. High Class Problem has the capability to win this but he was disappointing at Brighton last time and that run will have to be forgiven. Music Note is dropped in grade and he could be dangerous if he is allowed an easy lead. However, we will stick with Zelos to land the prize.
