In depth

Verdict

Westren Warrior carries a penalty courtesy of his bumper victory on heavy going at Sligo and though not hitting the heights over timber he led for a long way when tackling three miles at Southwell. Who's Micky Brown won a point-to-point in May and made a very encouraging debut over timber when just failing to get past Midnight Tune at Plumpton. Today's longer trip is in his favour and he'll take some beating but TIPPMANBOY may have his measure. He's by far the most experienced of these over hurdles which should stand him in good stead on the predicted ground and his close second to Final Nudge at Bangor last month was subsequently given a boost by the winner who finished runner-up in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham. Oliver Sherwood's lightly-raced Danvinnie couldn't cope with Bon Enfant over this trip at Fontwell but the winner has scored again and with further progress guaranteed he looks certain to get involved.
