chased leaders, led over 1f out, ridden and held on well final furlong
reminders to hold place and ran wide bend after 1f, in touch and hard driven 2f out, stayed on same pace
with leader, led 2f out, headed over 1f out, soon weakened and eased when no chance final furlong
hung right throughout, never a factor
chased leaders, ridden 2f out, one pace final furlong
outpaced, well behind from halfway
in touch, headway and edged left over 1f out, went 2nd 1f out, closed final furlong, always just held
led to 2f out, prominent until weakened final furlong
Goldhill Prince could provide the answer to this tricky contest and we will put him forward as the one they all have to beat with Town End Tom and Feminist rated as the main dangers. The selection finished ahead of two of today's rivals, Town End Tom and Keresforth over 6f on this track last time. The drop back to the minimum trip will not be a problem and with a useful apprentice in Colin Haddon booked for the ride he should take plenty of beating. Town End Tom ran a fair race behind our selection last time but there is no reason why he should reverse there placings here; a comment that would also apply to Keresforth. Feminist is from a yard that merits plenty of respect but Town End Tom has the measure of her on an earlier run over this course and distance and we are happy to stick with Goldhill Prince as our idea of the winner.
