Verdict

The Alan Jarvis-trained Serena's Pride made a pleasing debut in a conditions race at Newbury earlier this month and the daughter of Danbird is bound to be popular with backers in this fillies' maiden but Mahmood Al Zarooni has made a good start to his training career for Godolphin and it may be worth siding with his newcomer BOASTFUL, who gets the vote ahead of Brandy Snap. Richard Hannon's filly was disappointing on her debut at Windsor recently but the yard have done so well with their youngsters that she cannot be discounted after one poor effort. David Lanigan's Al Andalyya takes the eye on pedigree being a daughter of Kingmambo out of a Sadler's Wells mare but she is likely to do better over further and of more interest may be John Dunlop's newcomer, Manasha, who should be ideally suited by this trip and it will be interesting to see how the market acts for her. Dean Ivory's Russian Ice has the benefit of experience but is becoming expensive to follow and a better bet looks to be Mahmood Al Zarooni's Boastful and the daughter of Clodovil can make a winning debut.
