In depth

Verdict

A few of these have already shown some ability, including Fire Chief who had Jolly Valentine behind when second over 1m5f on his racecourse debut and is probably capable of reversing subsequent Kempton running with Admiral Bloom back here. Ilewin Dundee was runner-up over C&D in November and Overdraught looked in need of the run at Warwick in December, but a couple of newcomers also catch the eye. ROYAL NATIVE is jumps bred and hails from a yard that is in decent form and does well with its bumper entries. The four-year-old is just preferred to Mill Thyne, who is a half-brother to a bumper winner in Ireland.
