Standing Strong has been placed twice over longer trips and it remains to be seen how he takes to sprinting but better is expected of Avalanche with last month's debut at Yarmouth under his belt. SIGNOR SASSI found one too good on all three starts last season but he won't need to improve much on those efforts to finally get his head in front and Roger Varian's colt rates the selection. Modern Tutor did better at Windsor last time and Barnacle makes most appeal of the newcomers.
