Verdict
Intrepid Jack, Borderlescott and Intoxicating catch the eye in this handicap and the vote is given to Intrepid Jack. The selection ran a blinder last time when he was second behind Tax Free at York. He had a poor draw that day and no cover and if he can run up to that level today then he will take plenty of beating. Borderlescott remains unexposed and was 10lb higher than when winning at Ripon when he put in a game effort to finish second behind Pic Up Sticks at Goodwood last time. He seems to be progressing and will again run his race. Intoxicating ran well when beating Doric at York last time. He is in good heart at present but he has been rising in the weights and he may just find a couple too good today. Algharb has been threatening to win a race for some time and he is on a handy mark so could go well at a price. However, Intrepid Jack need only reproduce his latest effort to get his head in front today.
