Verdict
In the finale, our nominated short list contains Given A Choice, Polish Power and Baileys Encore, with the selection being Polish Power. Basically, Polish Power's all-weather record is solid and, racing from a mark he has been effective from on Turf, he could play a major part in this contest. Given A Choice is back to a winning Wolverhampton mark over nine furlongs, but stays this trip and his chance is respected, while Velvet Heights has been disappointing in his recent efforts and Optimus still has it to prove from his current rating. My Princess is unproven at today's trip, but Newnham holds claims racing from a mark that is just three pounds above a winning one and is respected. Tromp is generally consistent on the all-weather and holds place claims, while Kyles Prince races on the all-weather in a handicap for the first time but possibly still has something to prove. In Full Cry has not built on earlier Turf promise and now debuts on the all-weather, as does stable companion Baileys Encore, who could prove reasonably weighted on the all-weather if taking to it. Overall, though, the vote goes to Polish Power.
