Amwell Brave can follow up on his recent Kempton success two weeks ago and land this at the expense of Salut Cloud and Alagon. The selection has risen nine pounds for that win which on paper looks harsh but in the process of winning he beat some seasoned campaigners very comfortably. If repeating that performance off his new mark then he has to be respected to score once again. Salut Cloud could not cope with his five pound rise in the weights at Southwell last time out and looked disappointing in the process. As a result he now has to be treated with caution. Alagon is four pounds higher for his recent Southwell win. He had run well the time before at Wolverhampton suggesting that a win was not far away. His trainer Ian Williams has had a troubled twelve months with his horses but he seems to have come back to some kind of form so Alagon is worth noting. But for the winner we return to Amwell Brave.
