        Verdict

        It remains to be seen if Augustus Caesar can repeat a much improved effort on the Fibresand at Southwell on this faster surface. He makes his handicap debut but ROYAL COUNCIL finished runner-up at Sandown on his handicap bow only to disappoint at Ffos Las last time when fitted with a visor. The headgear is left off today and he gets another chance with James Tate’s yard in such good form. Airbrush has placed in all starts in handicaps so far and finished well ahead of Newyorkstateofmind at Bath last week while Queen Aya may prove best of the remainder.
