In depth

Verdict

It was soft ground at Newbury when DIABLE d’OR finished fourth on his recent debut. He should go close with normal progress and is just preferred to Rapacity Alexander. The latter was beaten a length at Nottingham last time while Zaatar was not far behind the winner when third at Goodwood last week and makes more appeal than El Torito, placed at Bath in both starts to date. Charlie Victor is worth a second glance if supported in the betting on his racecourse debut.
