Verdict

Peregrine Falcon has the scope to beat Habalwatan, with the other three all needing to improve markedly to figure in the finish. Peregrine Falcon has had two outings at Wolverhampton so far, and came good at just the second attempt when comfortably beating his rivals, including a Godolphin newcomer, seven-days ago. He kept on galloping all the way to the line which suggests that he should have no problem staying the extra furlong here, and being a full to Soldier Hollow, a prolific winner over this sort of trip on the continent, gives more substance to that claim. He gets 2lb from Habalwatan, who to be fair, has done nothing wrong of late, but the form of his latest victory over the disappointing Valance may not amount to much. Castara Bay should benefit from the step up in trip on breeding but is still a maiden, while both Mafeking and Montalembert look up against it on paper. Peregrine Falcon can take this on the way to bigger and better things.
