Desert Strike has won just the once in 40 starts on Turf though he had Best Be Careful behind when runner-up on the Polytrack here earlier this month. The soft ground was against Triple Dream at Nottingham last time and he should do better while Billy Red finally got his head back in front on the all-weather surface here last month and is another to consider. A 7lb rise appeared to anchor dual Kempton winner Howyadoingnotsobad at Wolverhampton last time so a chance is taken on PICABO returning to her best as she's only 2lb higher than when landing a better race at Newmarket last August.
