        Verdict

        ASK THE GURU has won twice over track and trip this year including his latest start. He may be good enough to defy a 4lb rise. Pucon won last year's inaugural running at 16/1 and is only 1lb higher today but Picansort looks no nearer winning despite a continuing slide down the weights. Flying Bear has failed to figure since scoring at Chelmsford in March but Meritocracy went close off today's mark over 6f here last month. Royal Acquisition is capable of figuring if in the mood.
