Khun John gets the confident vote here with Barbirolli and Captain Margaret most likely to chase him home. The selection is lightly-raced but he has run well on both his outings so far, and he looked like one to stay on the right side of when beating Spinning Reel at Wolverhampton last time. Barbirolli in contrast is quite exposed, but he has been running really well and he should be suited by this drop in trip after failing to get home over 1m3f at Newbury last time. Captain Margaret is a course and distance winner but she was really disappointing last time out and she is difficult to back with any confidence following that poor run. Burgundy normally goes well here and the booking of Ryan Moore does catch the eye. But Khun John looks a progressive type and is taken to score.
