Verdict

None of these inspire much confidence. Star of Spring competed in better company at the end of last year but has been raised 9lb for finishing a well-beaten fifth at Newmarket. Richard Hughes rides the latter having partnered Wiener Valkyrie at Haydock last time where she failed to figure. SUR EMPIRE ran a shocker dropped back to 6f at Nottingham but had gone very close in much better company than this at Musselburgh before that and gets a tentative vote to bounce back. Welsh Inlet scored on the Polytrack here last time but has to race off a 9lb higher mark back on this surface. 7.25.
