      Verdict

      KATMAI RIVER looks the safest option as he's back on a winning mark and has been threatening to get his head back in front recently with a string of placed efforts at Kempton. Mark Usher's charge makes more appeal than Sottovoce and Buxton, who have both slipped down the weights with the latter hinting at a return to form last time. Crocodile Bay separated a couple of poor efforts with a C&D victory earlier this month and he's preferred to Fearless Poet, who landed a lower grade handicap over today's trip at Kempton recently but was well beaten over a mile last time.
