        Verdict

        Vittorioso has been placed twice recently, and is the pick on that form ahead of Lauren Louise, Suturia and Sunny Times to name but three. Vittorioso's front-running tactics have nearly paid off on his last two starts at Southwell, and surely it is only a matter of time before he comes good, especially as he is now better treated than this time last year. The faster Polytrack surface may help him as well, and he can prove too strong for today's rivals. Lauren Louise was beaten when hampered at Wolverhampton in selling company last time out, while Suturia stayed on in the same race and might need further. Sunny Times was in mid-division at Lingfield on her last start in November but had earlier finished a creditable second at Yarmouth. She is likely to need this but should have no trouble in landing a similar contest in time. Any money for The Cobbler should be noted, but Vittorioso has leading claims in this company.
