        Verdict

        AVON SUPREME is making steady progress. She went the closest yet to losing her maiden tag when runner-up over C&D last time and makes most appeal of a pretty uninspiring bunch. Laconicos also went close to winning his first race on the Flat when runner-up over a longer trip here last month, while Kai Mook continues her slide down the weights and showed a bit more at Kempton last time. Red Flash was placed at Wolverhampton recently and has room for further improvement, while Penbryn should have come on for his recent comeback run at the same track.
