    Verdict

    Kingscroft was winning for the third time in four starts when holding off Dasho over a similar trip at Wolverhampton earlier this month. He's won here in the past and may be able to dominate this small field but a 6lb weight rise could be a problem against a couple of scopey individuals in BUNCE and Conducting. The latter will be all the better for his fourth over C&D on Saturday but the former improved in leaps and bounds on turf once stepped up to this distance and may prove a bit better than a handicapper this year. Toms River Tess has shaped with some promise recently but may just be a shade high in the weights at present.
