        Verdict

        Picansort is only 2lb higher than when landing this in convincing fashion 12 months ago. He’s closely matched with Mossgo on their run together here last month and it would be no surprise to see him go close again if getting the run of the race. CHERRY KOOL was only third behind Picansort over course and distance in December but not beaten far and is now 4lb better off. She’s a speedy sort and could take some pegging back if able to tack across from a wide draw. Menelik has been in good form lately, winning twice at Chelmsford, but he’s an eight-year-old having his first run over the minimum trip and may get outpaced. Temple Road is invariably thereabouts in races like this but doesn’t get his head in front as often as he should and will probably find at least one too good again.
