In depth

Verdict

The finale can go the way of Travolta ahead of Rahy's Crown, Desert Sea, and Iberian Light. Travolta bounced back from a three-month absence to finish second in a similar contest here three weeks ago, showing that he handles the surface, and with a bit of improvement to come, should make a bold bid to open his account, with Adam Kirby able to claim a useful 3lb off his back. Rahy's Crown was given a strong ride to win at Warwick in April, but has been upped in trip since without success. He does have some ability but is best watched at present. Desert Sea made the most of a drop in the handicap to score at Wolverhampton but may start to struggle again. He will do well to defy a 6lb penalty here, while of the rest, Iberian Light has been pretty consistent and could reach the frame, but we return to Travolta as the answer.
